This GIF shows a cat running, made from a series of photos by Edweard Muybridge, a 19th-century photographer who studied motion. I used Photoshop to animate his still images, creating a smooth loop that brings the old photos to life. I want viewers to notice how fluid the movement is, especially given how early these photos were taken.

​Storm in Stillness began as a monochromatic ocean scene I made a while back. I reworked it into a thunderstorm—adding motion, mood, and a sense of tension. I’m especially proud of coming up with the concept; next time, I plan to use more frames to push the animation even further. It’s exciting to see how a simple shift in movement can completely change the feeling of a piece. This project reminded me how ideas evolve and grow through experimentation.
